We find out if my wife Courtney can make fire to cook food, build a survival shelter, and cook wild edibles. These survival challenges are about making the best with limited tools such as a saw, knife, cantene and whatever else you can find in the forest. Materials to build a shelter can be scavenged in a survival shelter, and with just minimal tools, it’s often hard to figure out how to put everything together to make a strong shelter to protect from the rain, snow, wind and cold.

I also challenge Courtney to cook fish primitively over the fire using just a stick, for a simple baking technique of smoked fish.
