We fish for perch, crappie and bass in order to put together a catch and cook right on the lake over an open fire under a primitive bushcraft tarp shelter cut into a rock face. I catch a huge 15″ trophy crappie through the ice using a mini icefishing rod.

I rustle up a campfire for cooking over using a cast iron. I combine a trophy size crappie fish with bacon to make an awesome shore lunch, right on the lake. This is winter camping survival challenge at it’s finest!
