Happy Primitive Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is celebrated around the world and flowers are commonly given to mothers as a gift. The price of flowers rises dramatically on the days leading up to Mother’s Day but is there anything wrong or less thoughtful of a hand-picked bouquet of wildflowers that cost just a little time and creative thinking?… In this video I celebrate all the mothers of the world with this bouquet of wild golden yarrow flowers that are growing abundantly around my Hut. I also show you some other beautiful flowers that are in bloom right now. For a flower vase I used my clay cooking pot that I made a year ago. It holds water without leaking and the burnt clay color provides a dramatic contrast to the bright yellow flowers. Happy Mother’s Day!
*Update: My mother identified the unknown flower in the video. It is commonly called “true baby star”. The botanical name is Leptosiphon bicolor…. Thanks Mom!
