Wild Camping With Dogs | Backpacking the Brecon Beacons – Part 1

So It’s off to the Brecon Beacons with my girlfriend and our two dogs for 2 nights of backpacking and Wild Camping. And a spot of Wild Swimming too! An incredible Sunset for us to enjoy on our first night, we felt totally blessed and immersed in the natural world. A beautiful spot to stay for sure. Next time I’m viewing the sunrise from the top of Fan Brycheiniog!

It was a shame a fellow “wild” camper came and pitched a stones throw away from us, right in our sunset view. When this is the largest glacial lake in southern wales, there is little excuse. People wild camp to escape others, so please be courteous. If you see another camper close by, go and find another spot. After all, we all have to ‘go’ outside, so nobody wants some random person watching them wee. If there was a certain spot you wanted, and others have got to it first, don’t be a sour puss and go and find somewhere else 😉 Oh and please leave no trace (pistachio shells included wink wink nudge nudge to our camp ‘buddy’)
