Dinorwig Slate Quarry Wild Camp – Snowdonia Adventure (Part 2)

We head to Dinorwic slate quarry in the Snowdonia national park which is a place I’ve wanted to explore for a long time. It is situated at the very north of Wales near Snowdon. It really lived up to expectations and the wild adventure we had checking it out was brilliant! We explored a whole lot of the slate mine, buildings and abandoned machinery before heading almost fully out of the quarry to wild camp for the night. We were treated to an amazing sunset for the camp over Anglesey while foiling the midges using head nets.
The following morning we climbed the fourth and fifth highest mountains in Wales – Elidir Fawr and Y Garn.
28/07/21 – Dinorwic and the surrounding region has just been awarded a UNESCO world heritage site!
