One Minute Berry Basket: Quick & Easy Foraging Container

Here’s an idea for a quick little foraging container. This isn’t fine basketry; it’s an easy way to make a container that will let you gather and carry berries or other wild edibles back to your camp or vehicle.

It takes literally one minute to make, the rim gives it a nice open top for tossing berries into, and you can add another leaf as a lid.

Wrap it up with whatever you like once it’s full and it’s ready to travel.

This one was made with a vine maple rim, thimbleberry leaves, and some trailing blackberry wrap, but I have tried using lots of similar materials and they all seem to work fine; so you can experiment with different options in your area to see what works.
