Simple No-Cordage Solution for Hanging Your Pack on a Tree

This is about as simple and easy as it gets. I was looking around for a spot to hang my pack yesterday and didn’t notice any conveniently broken branches to use as a hook.

This basic pack toggle idea popped into my head, but with any idea this simple, it is likely that others have had the same thought; so this is more likely a re-discovery than an original idea.

To me, the beauty of this solution is its simplicity, and of course the fact that I can now hang my pack on just about any branch that I can reach.

Hoisting a fully loaded expedition pack could be a bit tricky, but it is very easy with a 20lb day pack.

I know this isn’t typical of the types of videos that I normally post here, but I figured that this was useful enough to share.
