This video introduces the first of nine enlightening units of our world history course that begins in the year 1200 and ends in the … okay, no spoilers, but world history doesn’t really end. Colby Burnett and Kim Lochner will be your regular hosts, and we also get a special appearance by historian Bennet Sherry, PhD, one of the course’s main writers. Instead of names and dates, Unit 1: Narratives and Frames focuses on, you guessed it, narratives and frames. These are the first of many tools you will use in this course. Why do you need tools?
