A Dog I Named Blue. (Throwback Thursday)

I was 20 years old camped out up in my old neck of the woods in the old Holy Oak Shelter in the Able Tasman National Park where I had grown up as a child. It was late in the evening and I was drinking black tea from the billy by the campfire playing the harmonica in between rolling Port Royal ciggaretts. The sky was black but the moon was almost full on her way back down again. There was a far-off noise in the hills that sounded like a wolf howling. What the hell was it…?
