Catching Non Target Species

Training a dog to hunt any animal is easy. Dogs, like wolves naturally just want to hunt. The real training is in keeping them from hunting non-target species like live-stock and domestic pets or native ground birds etc. But before I start working on my stock proofing the first thing I like to do is work on my basic commands like ‘Come, sit, up, etc…I am a great fan of E-collars but they need to used very carefully as they can also destroy a dog.
In this video, I talk about feeding patterns and go through some basic training using the E-collar just in my day to day training.
