Backpacking Snowdon | Day 2 | Watkin Path, Miners Track + Wet & Windy Mountain Camping! | Hubba NX

On day two, I continue the ascent up the Watkin path and make a plan to shelter from the worst of the weather before attempting the final steep section up to the summit. Despite my research, this section was far more challenging than I anticipated. It’s physically demanding which is fine for me, I love a scramble – but it’s the steep angles, exposure and sketchy scree slopes that made it really scary. I questioned my life choices on that path! 😄 Having said that, now that I’ve done it, I can’t wait to do it again.. next time will be with someone, only a day bag, and with a go-pro on a chest mount

I made camp just off the Minors path in some shocking weather, nearly lost my tent and got a bit hangry. What a day!

Day 3 will be out next Thursday at 7pm – for more god-awful weather and a gorgeous wild swim!

Apologies for occasional wind noise in this, I’d intended to film this trip on my camera, but due to the rain I ended up using my phone quite a lot, which I didn’t bring the mic for – I’ll bring both mics next time
