Building a Primitive Heating System for My Hut – Part 3

** Turn on captions

Having spent many nights outside in the cold I know very well the value of creating heat. When it is too cold to sleep then something must be done to increase the comfort level. I started building this primitive heating system for my adobe hut several months ago at the end of the rainy season but didn’t finish it. Now the rainy season has returned and it is more difficult to build because the bricks and mortar need time in the sun to dry. I am now very anxious to finish this project. In this video I also make a grill out of clay and fire it in the rocket stove. If you haven’t seen before, I occasionally eat soap plant. The bulbs of this native plant can be roasted and then eaten. They are not very tasty and are more of a survival food when nothing else can be found.
