Building a Primitive Heating System for My Hut – Part 4

This primitive heating system has been a long term project especially now that we are in the rainy season. The shorter, cooler days and almost weekly rains mean that adobe bricks take much longer to dry and must be protected from the weather. But now I am very close to finishing this advanced fireplace, rocket stove, chimney combination. Many of the adobe bricks had to be made to a specific size instead of the general dimensions I used for the walls of the hut. The design will allow a portion of the wall of the Hut to absorb a lot of heat from the fire. This will then allow the heating system to emit stored heat long after the fire has burned out.

Also in this video I complete the thatch door which I had begun in the previous video at the Hut. I will probably make some modifications to it in the future but for now it helps to retain heat and keeps out larger rodents.
