Cast Iron Campfire Breakfast with Zed Outdoors. Foraged Wild Mint Tea. Making a Simple Bench.

In this video, I meet up with Zed from Zed Outdoors for a bit of Breakfast and a good old chin-wag in a small local woodland next to the river. After making a makeshift bench to sit on, foraging some wild mint to make tea, collecting and processing firewood and lighting our camp-fire, we sit down to prepare breakfast, a mountain man style breakfast of vegetables, sausage and egg.

Zed has a well established and respected reputation within the bushcraft and youtube community and has been making videos for a long time with some of the biggest names in bushcraft and green craft. I have been enjoying his work for years and it was a pleasure to finally meet him in person and share a few stories and banter over a relaxed breakfast. ‘Landfill’ Recipe

Recipe can be varied depending on taste and what you have!

2x bell peppers
1x red onion
4x large mushrooms
4x sausages (meat removed from casing) or vegetarian
4x rashers bacon
4x eggs
Grated cheese (cheddar)
Hot sauce of your choice

Chop up veg roughly.
Fry veg and meat in vegetable oil until meat is cooked through and the vegetables are softened.
Crack in the eggs and mix through.
Stir until the eggs are cooked.
Add grated cheese and allow to melt through.
Serve with a good dollop of hot sauce.
Wraps optional.
