Catch and Cook CANADA GOOSE!!! | BEAVER, Pumpkin, Sunflower, Cranberry & Maple Sugar

Paddling in by canoe we catch up to an injured Canada Goose on the shore and decide to cook it up for dinner in the bush!

Our experiments with eating wild, brings us to the fall goose season. To supplement our wild game, we add beaver meat and spoils from our garden including, sunflower seeds, zucchini, pie pumpkin, and maple sugar, which I made entirely from scratch in the spring.

Catch n cook is what this series is all about!

In case luck was not on our side we would rely on beaver meat – but this weekend involved only eating wild fresh foods, or foods that came from natural sources. The idea is to replicate a historical account of what foods looked like for our ancestors.

Learn about how homesteading, or agriculture, can supplement wild foods and are necessary in order to produce a complete and balanced diet.
