Catch n Cook Pike | Wild Spring Edibles | Burdock, Wild Mint, Nettle, Cattail, Garlic Mustard

I prepare scaled Northern Pike along with seasonal wild edibles including pin cherry syrup and maple syrup to top sunflower seed and cornmeal cake, with a side of stinging nettle, wild leeks and burdock root. The northern pike was garnished with a spread of nut butter (ground sunflower seeds) and wild mint as well as garlic mustard.

This entire series is about catch n cook!

All this cooked over open fire.

I also challenged myself to a bow drill friction fire.
