Fixing Roof of Hut on Rainy Day

Rain is the biggest threat to a primitive adobe or mud hut. A small leak in the roof can make conditions inside the hut very uncomfortable. Today it appears that rain is coming soon so I hurry to fix a large hole in the thatched roof of my adobe hut. The roof is made of bundles of dry cattail leaves. The original roof has been on the hut for nearly two years. Last year there were a few minor leaks so I hope to make it more waterproof for this rainy season. Once the roof is in good condition then I can continue with other projects.

Thank you for watching! I really appreciate you all!
