High Country Hunting Adventure (Part One)

My father was a great hunter in his prime years and then when he reached 40 it all suddenly stopped. As a young man growing up I could not really understand why he stopped hunting and as I have grown well past 40 myself now I feel no part of my own prey drive slowing down but I no longer feel the need to take every animal that presents itself and nor do I feel the need to hunt when our freezer and fridge is well stocked with wild game or farm meat. I am a meat hunter and Tahr meat is high up for me be it a young Bull or a nanny.
Part one of this video is an introduction to my first Tahr hunt. The filming and video were like an afterthought and I almost left the camera behind but looking back I am pleased I documented this little journey down south as when my legs will invariably fail me one day I will now be able to look back with interest and self-satisfaction at the times I spent with my reliable hunting mate Richard in those mountains fulfilling my boyhood dream of bagging a bull tahr. The video has some pig hunting in it with a nice young boar taken and part two will be the catch and cook story of my first Bull Tahr.
