How to Heat Your House for Free (with Firewood!)

I make a special trip to the city to collect free firewood that I can use to heat the off grid cabin. Even if you don’t have a cabin, you can use this advice to score free firewood to heat anything from yourself in a backyard campfire, or your whole house!

I will talk about how firewood is essentially waste, something that most city people don’t care for or want and how arborist will basically just give it away for free.

I’ll share my experiences with how to best dry and store firewood, or season it for use. I’ll show you how to use crates to store wood, or to use a wood shed to dry wood for the year and the right amount of time to season fresh cut firewood.
