How to Tie the Double Sheet Bend

A step by step guide to tying the Double Sheet Bend ( AKA: Double Becket Bend, Double Common Bend, Double Flag Bend, Double Ordinary Bend, Double Simple Hitch, Double Swab Hitch).

The Double Sheet Bend Knot is used when binding ropes that are of unequal diameter(size). For stability, the double sheet bend is made similarly to a common sheet bend with an additional round turn below the first and again bringing the working end back under itself. The free ends should end up on the same side of the knot for maximum strength.
