Knife making | Can you heat treat a knife using basic tools?

Knife making doesn’t require fancy tools. You can make a knife using nothing but hand tools if you have the time. Or some simple basic power tools will help speed the knife making process.
This is my attempt to heat treat a knife from 1080 steel. I am not an experienced knife maker so this is just a test of a basic heat treatment. I REALLY put this knife to the test and was surprised by the results.
