I show you how to make diy drink coasters using a stick. This Bushcraft style tutorial is simple, quick and easy to make. You can also make this on the cheap with minimal tools. Hope you enjoy this episode of Shed Sunday, which is a short tutorial and diy series of episodes that I put up on my channel on Sunday Mornings, in addition to my mid-week long form adventure videos.

HOW I MADE IT:
– Use a saw or knife to cut a small piece of hazel sapling (the wood needs to be green wood)
– Strip the bark off the piece of wood using a bushcraft knife or other sharp knife. You can use a potato peeler if you are doing this project with kids.
– Measure 8 different sections of 90mm (9cm) along the hazel stick.
– Saw these sections and then sand off any rough edges.
– Drill two holes in either end of each section, roughly 13mm in from the end of the sticks. I used a 6mm drill bit to make the holes.
– Feed your cordage through the holes on either side of the sticks, I used leather cordage to give the coasters a rustic look, but you can use string or paracord.
– Finish off by tying an overhand knot at each end. This acts as a stopper knot to keep the sticks in place.
– Your coaster is now complete and ready for a hot drink!
