MAKING AN AXE HANDLE | AXE HANDLE FROM HICKORY

Making an axe handle from scratch. Mostly by hand.
This was my great great grandfathers axe. Seems everyone has an axe handle video so I had to put mine out there too.

4/4 hickory from local sawmill
Boiled linseed oil

Hand carving an axe handle from scratch takes a lot of time and energy.
This is 4hr of work edited down to 9 minutes.

Inspired by wranglerstar. Although I don’t have his skill in axe handle restoration I would never have attempted handle making without his influence.
