This trip has it all, bears, moose, trout, bass and so much more! What a crazy time in the woods, amidst our goals of catching and cooking trout, a moose crashes into camp, then we catch up with it running clear down the road, for miles! Next, a bear runs out in front of us, and we just out to catch up with it. We find bear teeth in the creek and a jaw and then we get into a massive amount of brook trout which we cook over fire and eat in the bushes!

This is what Canada is all about!

On this 3 day, 3 lake adventure we pursue some backwater brook trout and camping trip in order to cook a meal primitively over a fire in the woods using some simple items.

We spot a wild black bear and go off into the woods trying to find it! We cook fish over a fire primitively using just sticks and a pit area.

Bushcraft is all about making due with resources you have around you. The idea was to smoke cook fish over the coals without using a lot of modern equipment.

Using branches cut to the right size we build a sunken fire pit, make coals and then make a grate to help cook our near-limit of brook trout. These taste fantastic cooked this way and after all the hard work of catching them, all that much more delicious to eat.
