MY SAWYER SQUEEZE WATER FILTER FAILED!

Always check your sawyer squeeze water filter, and make sure it works before you take it 20 miles into the backcountry.
This is my third filter from sawyer. First two were the sawyer minis. I accidentally let both of them freeze. Oops.. Then I got this one the sawyer squeeze..well its not looking good for the sawyer squeeze.
This goes to show even a sawyer water filter with no moving parts can fail.

This is one of the lightest backpacking/camping water filters on the market. It is also the simplest. Which is why I keep buying these. The sawyer minis cost are $20 and have a decent flow rate. I don’t think I’m going to buy the sawyer squeeze again due to its higher price and it just doesn’t last that long. So, I will replace the sawyer squeeze with a sawyer mini and hope all goes well…One thing is for sure, NO hiking /backpacking/camping/survival filter is a sure thing. always have a backup plan!
