Native American Garden Final Update | Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds

Well, it was a tough first season. I take a walk through at germination and again near harvest to show what worked and what didn’t. I got a fair yield from my home garden with a massive amount of pie pumpkins and boy are they good. I also did well with my tomatoes, zucchini and sunflowers!

I struggled most with my beans in the Native Garden, but my home garden did well. I also got piles of garlic. The squash varieties didn’t perform very well, but that’s because the soil was so nutrient poor. The corn did okay, but might only produce small ears.

If we can amend this soil further, next year should be much better!
