Off Grid Tiny Home on Wheels | Reclaimed Materials, Saw Mill, 30 Acres of Forest Materials

This is a story of turning reclaimed materials including an old trailer/camper into something that is inviting and welcoming.

We are NOT done with catch n cook, wilderness living, but we are opening a new door. This is a side project to all the other things that are going on here!

Our proposal is to tear down an old camper, use the frame and wheels to convert it into an off grid tiny home on wheels using materials from the forest.

We have access to pine, cedar, and hardwoods including maple and oak to make live edge siding, dimensional lumber and more.

Because we are building on a mobile frame, there is NO PERMIT required!

We plan to build this entire cabin with less than $1,000. Because we can rip our lumber, the costs should be very cheap, just the labor and the gas to run the sawmill.

The goal of this channel is to be in touch with our natural roots and to get more control over our environment. It started off as a passion for food, but shelter certainly comes into play in the long term.

We will teach you how to cut lumber, frame a small home and how simple it can be to build a structure from scratch.

A tiny home can be built easily for off grid living. More importantly, it can be done cheaply with fewer materials.

The goal is to make a building that I can easily and comfortably house my wife and son to get us off grid and back into nature where we really belong. I will use the cabin to get close to wild meals!
