Overnighter at Nant Rhys Bothy – A 👻HAUNTED👻 Forest Shelter

We hiked through the green desert of Wales for an overnighter at haunted Nant Rhys bothy. The ghosts of the family that abandoned it in 1885 made a few creaks in the night…
I made the mistake of not downloading the route map before we set off so there was a few diversions along the way! At the start we were greeted by highland cows who were there with their calf’s and the bull too. After tentatively waiting for them to pass we headed off. The bothy was in great condition but the wood situation was not so good with the area being picked clean of supplies. The bothy gave us the shelter we needed on a rough night of wind and rain. Next time we go we need to take some darts and our own wood supply for the burner.
