Polish Lavvu – The Wearable Stealth Camping Tipi Tent – Review

I managed to get hold of a pair of Polish Lavvu which combined together create a 2 man tipi bushcraft tent. The idea was that two soldiers each wore their poncho and teamed up with their mate when they needed to get their head down for the night. It created a wearable stealth tipi tent that could be carried on your back. It is possible to make a shelter from one but the front would be open.
The laavu has become increasingly popular lately. So much so, that they have started to manufacture them again in Poland for export. The lavvu comes in three sizes – 1, 2 and 3 which are suited to your height when wearing it. The largest size is the hardest and most expensive to find and gives a slightly larger interior when erected. It is a canvas teepee tent and being a heavyweight material retains heat and cuts out sunlight inside very well indeed. I hope you like this short review and test of the Polish lavvu.
