Primitive bathing with natural plant soap

Several species of plants with roots high in saponins can effectively be used as soap. Soap plant lily (Chlorogalum parviflorum) is a native plant of California. Soap plant grows abundantly around my adobe hut and I use it for both food and washing. Native Americans and early European settlers also made good use of soap plant.
