Primitive seafood harvest and cooking in adobe hut

The Pacific Ocean is quite close to the adobe hut so on this day I went to the sea to search for food. Kelp is abundant in the cool waters of the Pacific and many species are edible and even tasty. I collected two species to eat both raw and later cooked. Then I found chitons and limpets (very common mollusks found in the intertidal zone) which can also be eaten either raw or cooked.

I took the harvest back to the hut where I cooked them in an earthen pot over a small fire. After about 15 minutes of cooking my delicious meal was ready.
