Simple Backcountry Camping Trip – Summer

It is great to be back out in the wilderness! I managed to get out and spend a night sleeping under my tarp. My camp was simple but comfortable. I cooked up a couple delicious meals and thoroughly enjoyed my time camping. In this episode I share a few camping tips and tricks that will make camping easier and more comfortable.

Pants: Waxed Cotton Wrangler Pants with Deerskin Knee Reinforcements (Self-made)
Hatchet: Old hatchet I got from an antique store (no makers mark)
Saw: 21″ Bahco Peg Tooth Saw Blade (Wood frame carved by me)

Bedroll: Foam sleep pad (cheap kind you get from sporting goods stores)
2 queen sized wool blankets (dyed dark green, brand unknown)
Ferro Rod: Uberleben Kraftig 5″
Tarp: 8’x8′ Waxed cotton cloth tarp (homemade)
