Starting A Fire With Knife, Ferro Rod & Birch Bark In Damp Conditions | Bushcraft & Survival Skills!

Starting a fire in damp conditions is no easy task! But with the right natural materials, some patience (and a dose of luck haha), it can certainly be done. Plus it’s really rewarding too! This was the first time I’ve tried starting a fire this way with damp materials, so I was really chuffed when it took 😀 There were 2 attempts prior to this one where the fire died shortly after I’d transferred it to the Bushbox, it’s a reallllly fine line between feeding it and smothering it especially when things are a bit damp. This is a 5 minute video but in reality it took me over 2 hours to get that cup of coffee.. if at first you don’t succeed and all that!
