Trying and Then Tossing Hand Drill Thumb Straps

After my salmonberry hand drill spindle didn’t perform well during the burn-in, I decided to twist up some big leaf maple cordage and try some thumb loops. I think I either made too much cordage or didn’t have my hands low enough, and it was causing interference, so I eventually bailed on it.
