Building writing skills requires practice. Lots of it. But it doesn’t always need to be in the form of long essays! There are plenty of opportunities for writing in WHP. From short activities like EP/UP Notebooks, to longer assignments like DBQs and LEQs—we want students doing some kind of writing every single day. And targeted writing instruction is important too. Our writing progression helps students build their skills, using the WHP Writing Rubric as guidance.
