What Happens When Cape Town Runs Out of Water? | Short Film Showcase

Cape Town is currently suffering from a water crisis as a result of drought and an increased population over the past three years. It was predicted that the city would run out of freshwater at some point in 2018 reaching a dreaded “Day Zero.” Officials have limited water usage with the hope that this will suspend or at least delay the countdown. Resident Ray De Vries talks about some of the more serious complications that could result if and when that day arrives in this short from filmmaker Jamie Hancock.
